BoHo HoBo presents AZIN, jewelry from Afghanistan

~*AZIN*~, the Dari word for jewelery and also a girl's name, is a newly released line of jewelry from BoHo HoBo. Afghanistan, crossroads of Asia for millennia, reflects the styles of India, Persia, Mongolia and Central Asia in everything, including the art of jewelry-making.

These pixel creations emulate the styles of ethnic tribal metalworkers from all corners of Afghanistan; from the Kuchi nomads of the south to the Tekke Turkomen of the northern highlands.  Paste glass inlays, twisted metal, coins, carnelians and lapisand engraved and carved designs are some of the features of these designs.

Below are images of the newly released pieces that are available for sale at the Afghanistan Virtual Museum shop on the sim below BoHo HoBo. While you're there, why not take a magic carpet ride as well as visit the exhibits in the museum? All proceeds from the sales of the jewelry go to RAWA, the revolutionary association of the Women of Afghanistan to provide funding for orphanages, schools and clinics.

You can buy the sets or individually, and mix&match them if you like.
